Linguistics (2014 cohort)

I am currently a DPhil student studying within the Language & Brain laboratory. My research interests are in psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics and morphology and for my DPhil research, I am hoping to find out more about how our brain represents and processes morphologically complex words, using behavioural and electrophysiological techniques to address these questions.

More generally, I am also interested in the role played by different memory systems in supporting language and how these contribute to memory consolidation (e.g. language learning) and memory loss (for instance in dementia)

Prior to starting my DPhil, I completed an MPhil in the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics, also at the University of Oxford and, before that, a BA at the University of Cambridge.
