Roselinde Janowski

Social Policy and Intervention (2020 cohort)

Roselinde is a DPhil student in Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation, supervised by Professor Lucie Cluver and Dr Ohad Green. Her research is jointly funded by All Souls College and the ESRC Grand Union DTP Advanced Quantitative Methods Studentship. With specific interests in preventing violence and poor health outcomes among children and adolescents in low- and middle-income countries, Roselinde’s doctorate focusses on developing effective engagement and retention strategies for ParentApp, an app-based version of the WHO- and UNICEF-endorsed Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH) Teens intervention.

Roselinde holds a Master’s in Psychological Research with distinction from the University of Cape Town, focusing on the predictors of attendance and the impact of attendance on outcomes for a Parenting Programme in Thailand and the Philippines.  Prior to this, she graduated with a first-class honours degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Town.

Roselinde is an early career researcher in the UKRI GCRF Accelerating Achievement for Africa’s Adolescents Hub and works as a research assistant on the PLH ParentApp project, providing support on pilot planning, monitoring and evaluation, and implementation of the app. She is also currently working on the WHO Integrate Review of Parenting Interventions and supports the quantitative analyses for the Scale-UP of Parenting Evaluation Research (SUPER) project. Prior to this work, Roselinde worked as a researcher on two multi-country studies aimed at adapting, optimising, and evaluating PLH in Africa and South-Eastern Europe
