Project Title: Why do states rely on non-state actors to implement social policy?
My doctoral research takes a comparative approach to examine the dynamics, determinants, and trade-offs of non-state actors’ intermediation in social policy. I focus on poverty-alleviation programmes targeting labour market outsiders in Latin America. More broadly, I am interested in debates on development, inequality, policy outcomes, and the long-term sustainability of social policies.
I am a DPhil student in Politics at Nuffield College, University of Oxford. Before starting the DPhil, I completed an MSc in Applied Economics (2021–2023) and a BA in Political Science and Government (2016–2020) at Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have diverse professional experience across the academic, private, and third sectors, having worked as a Research Analyst and Consultant, as well as a Teaching and Research Assistant, in organisations including universities, think tanks, research centres, and consulting firms.
