Anthropology (2015 cohort)
I am a DPhil candidate at the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society and the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography. My research – supervised by Steve Rayner and Lambros Malafouris – focus on the implementation of digital tools and technologies in architectural design.
Specifically I am interested in how these technologies impact creativity and innovation. I focus on the enactment of technologies and technical artefacts within the design studio to explore how the affordances of different tools and software shape cognition and material engagement. As part of this, I study technical research and development to better understand how localised innovation might impact prosthetic ecologies for thinking and doing in the long term.
I hold an MSc in Digital Anthropology from University College London and MA and BA degrees in History and Development Studies from Roskilde University.
