Social Policy & Intervention (2021 cohort)

In October 2021, I started my DPhil in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford, supervised by Dr Aaron Reeves and Dr Ben Chrisinger. My research focuses on health inequalities and mental health. My main research interest lies in understanding the social determinants of mental health and factors contributing to the “treatment gap” for mental health conditions in different country contexts.

I was trained in Social Psychology and Behavioural Science, with a BSc in Psychology from the University of Konstanz and an MSc in Economic Psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Here, I focused on quantitative data analysis and topics surrounding behaviour change interventions and the psychological implications of economic inequality.

Prior to starting my DPhil, I worked as a public sector consultant in Berlin. In my role as project manager, I advised organisations (e.g., federal ministries, political foundations or development finance institutions) on strategy development, organisational transformations and strengthening their social impact.

I also worked as a fellow at the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) European office in the team of child and adolescent health.
