This training session is delivered by members from the Social Sciences Divisional Research, Impact, and Engagement Team.
What is Impact? Why is it important? And how do you ‘do’ it? The DTP Impact Away Day will answer these questions and guide you through the process of identifying areas in which your research might potentially make a change or difference and help provide solutions to real world problems. Catering for all levels of experience, from engagement newbies through to the impact literate, we will discuss how you might plan for impact at the outset of your research, identify potential stakeholders and collaborators and engage them in your research, engage in participatory research in an ethical and productive way, and evaluate your impact and strategies for impact evidence gathering. You will also have the chance to speak to early-career researchers who have done just this, to gain insights from their personal experiences. Led by the University of Oxford Social Sciences Division Research, Impact and Engagement Team, this workshop will provide an holistic approach to Impact and Engagement whilst providing an opportunity to meet, and network with, other members of the DTP cohort.
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and once places are full, we will maintain a waiting list.
Please only register if you are certain of your availability and commitment to attend.
