This online workshop, convened by Dr Paula Sheppard (School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography, Oxford & DTP Research and Training Lead), introduces doctoral researchers to the narrative CV as a tool for reflecting on, articulating, and monitoring their development across the PhD. Rather than focusing on qualifications or publication counts, the session encourages participants to take stock of their evolving skills, contributions, and academic identity over time. In this online workshop, students will learn how to translate everyday research-orientated activities and experiences into a coherent professional narrative. By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a first draft of a narrative CV to be revisited and refined as their PhD progresses, used in their annual DNA submission, and for writing postdoctoral funding applications.
