for Social Sciences Graduate Students in the three GUDTP Universities
In this session we will explore what makes storytelling such a powerful communication tool and how to apply to it in conveying ourselves and our work.
We will examine three fundamentals of a great story - character, plot, texture - and use them to build short oral stories, to be shared in pairs or trios.
We will unpack empathy as a way to engage broad audiences and craft short pitches to introduce ourselves and our research.
This training will be split between two sessions, 10:30-12:30 and 13:30-15:30. Lunch will not be provided.
Advance registration is required. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
