The GUDTP is pleased to have Sam Harper and Charlotte Medland (Research, Impact & Engagement Team, Social Sciences Division, University of Oxford) delivering a two-part introduction to research impact.
This series is an adaptation of their very succesful training for researchers, tailored to the needs of doctoral students in social sciences.
Building upon the foundations established in the first session, the second session will look more closely at applied impact. Therefore, we strongly advise you to attend both sessions.
As a deeper dive into the different pathways to impact, this session will include information on the Theory of Change approach and an introduction to Impact Evaluation.
You will have the opportunity to reflect on your experiences to identify key learnings and embed them into your planning for current or future projects.
It will help you think about ways to evidence impact for different research stakeholders and other audiences.
These skills will be useful whether you pursue an academic, academic-adjacent, non-academic or portfolio career after the completion of your doctorate.
Please only book a place if you are certain of your availability and commitment to attend.
