The GUDTP is pleased to have Sam Harper and Charlotte Medland (Research, Impact & Engagement Team, Social Sciences Division, University of Oxford) delivering a two-part introduction to research impact.

This is an adaptation of their very succesful training for researchers, tailored to the needs of doctoral students in social sciences.

This is the first session and will cover

  • key terms you need to know and what they all mean;
  • different types of impact
  • why impact is important
  • a mapping process for identigying your key research stakeholders
  • different routes to impact and how they can benefit you, your research projects and your porject stakeholders
  • how to map downstream beneficiaries of your research

…and much more!

Additionaly, attendees will learn how to get started in applying this information in their research. This session has been designed to be useful immediately but also beyond the doctorate.
