Psychology (2024 cohort)
My research focuses on the early development of logical reasoning in children, and whether similar capabilities exist in non-human animals. By examining how abstract concepts and inferences emerge using both experimental methods and computational models, I aim to shed light on the unique aspects of human cognition and explore potential parallels in other intelligent animals. This work could enhance our understanding of cognitive development and offer insights into the broader landscape of intelligence across species and technologies.
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Bath, during which I undertook a studentship to conduct research at Harvard in Professor Susan Carey’s lab. Following this, I pursued an MPhil at the University of Cambridge, where I worked in the Comparative Cognition Lab studying species such as Eurasian jays.
