Development Policy and Practice (2018)
I am researching the ways in which organisational learning impacts on social movements’ abilities to bring about political change through case studies of affiliated grass roots peace building organisations in Israel, Palestine, the US and the UK. The research examines how inter and intra-organisational learning takes place and impacts on some of the outcomes of the complex political and social processes of change for peace building.
I have worked in the arts and cultural sector managing international programmes of cultural activity for the British Council in China and the Middle East and as Head International Projects at the Royal Opera House (The Royal Ballet and Royal Opera) in London with a particular interest in using arts and culture as tools for development. I am also a board member of, and advisor to, several small NGOs with a focus on the arts, development and more recently, peace-building. I have an MSc in Development Policy and Practice (The Open University), an MA in Arts Policy (City University) and a BA in Communications and Film, (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology).
