Sociology (2021 cohort)
My research interests lie throughout demography, (social) epidemiology, and evolutionary methods within the social sciences. Based on my previous research experience, I have a strong interest in studying the mortality and long-run effects (if any) of the 1918-20 influenza pandemic. In terms of my broader interests within demography, I would describe myself as a generalist with a historical bent.
In my MPhil project, I would like to make contributions to the demography of social cohorts, i.e. cohorts defined by their exposure to certain social and/or environmental circumstances. I am particularly interested in the survival of demographic memories of different types.
I hold a BA in Human Sciences (2021) from the University of Oxford.
