Criminology (2019 cohort)

My research will explore the impact of capital punishment on homicide victims’ families. The findings of this kind of study should provide a deeper understanding of the impact of long capital habeas appeals on victims’ families. I hope that my research will inform human rights organisations, as well as advancing policies that prioritise the families of homicide victims.

I hold a BA in Sociology with Criminology with first-class honours from the University of York, where I was awarded the York Award. Thereafter, I completed the MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Oxford. In addition to my studies, I gained experience in the field as an intern for the Capital Post-Conviction Project of Louisiana in New Orleans.
